Zelaya: US-brokered pact for Honduran crisis fails

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya said Friday that a U.S.-brokered pact failed to end a four-month political crisis after a deadline for forming a unity government passed.

“The accord is dead,” Zelaya told Radio Globo from from the Brazilian Embassy where he has been hold up under threat of arrest. “There is no sense in deceiving Hondurans.”

Forged last week with the help of U.S. diplomats, the pact gave the two sides until midnight Thursday to install a government with supporters of Zelaya and Roberto Micheletti, who was named interim president by Congress after Zelaya was ousted on June 28.

Jorge Reina, a negotiator for Zelaya, said the pact fell apart because Congress failed to vote on whether to reinstate the deposed president before the deadline for forming the unity government.

And who benefited the least from all this Stimulus Spending–small business–we spent a lot on government projects but they don’t create jobs, we find some of the money spent didn’t save jobs but were used for pay raises in my humble opinion the only thing the stimulus bill has done is put the country in debt.

Had the Administration used it common sense and listened to those who know they would have realized that the private sector (that they don’t control–yet) makes the jobs–if they had focused this spending in the form of job tax credits I’m sure alot of companies would have taken advantage of it.

Now we have a Congress that is trying to mandate employers with over 50 employees either offer health care or be subject to fines(taxes)..well let me tell you the unemployment rate will go up..don’t be naive you know it and I know it.

The obvious drawback (in the administrations eyes) to proper/correct/common sense/realistic government intervention in the form of  tax credits for business is the loss of the unemployed’s dependence on government assistance–no longer can they say look what we’ve done for you vote for us.

If todays headline surprises you–its time to get attuned to what is happening in this country and prepare to make a change in 2010.

Perhaps a change is coming..

Years ago neighborhoods started programs called ‘Take back the night’ the intend was simple..take the night and their neighborhoods back from those who would bully them, steal from them, not treat them or their families as Americans should be treated with respect and dignity.

Perhaps yesterday America started a collective ‘Take back our country’ program, the fine state of Virginia surely did..to my surprise so did New Jersey.

Perhaps the folks in Washington DC will now realize they are the darkness–those who would tell use what we want,not listen to our needs, those who would spend us into a collective debt that will surely rob our future and those who thru their actions show they just don’t care for anyone but themselves.

Election Day 2010

Today I did something I really am not happy with…Ivoted straight party..even against a person who was up for re-election,who has done a good job and certainly deserves to be re-elected, however she’s a Democrat running only on the Democratic line.

In my humble opinion the only way to get Washington DC’s attention is to defeat EVERY Democrat that is running in ANY election today. This administration has no commitment to the American people they were elected to serve–instead they are self-serving egotists and the only way to get their attention is to start to remove them from office.

It’s sad it had to come to this but enough is enough

Boehner: Obama Is Out of ‘Excuses’ in Delaying Afghanistan Troop Decision

President Obama has run out of “excuses” for delaying a decision on whether to send more U.S. troops to Afghanistan, House Minority Leader John Boehner said Monday after Afghan President Hamid Karzai was declared the winner of his nation’s presidential election by default. 

Obama administration officials had suggested that a decision on American troop levels should be withheld until Afghanistan’s runoff election was over. But now that Karzai’s challenger, Abdullah Abdullah, has dropped out of the race and handed the election over to Karzai for another five-year term, lawmakers are urging the U.S. president to finalize his overhaul of America’s war strategy. 

Don’t you wish it was just that simple..Obama will come out with another list of excuses so once again he won’t have to make a decision.

Tomorrow is Election Day across this fine country and the citizens of this country have a choice–vote the way you feel you should and if the current administration feels no losses they will continue with this charade they call change—however if real change is what you seek–vote for nullification –vote to defeat any Democrat or Socialist that is running, regardless of what the position..send the message–as Howard would us to say:

‘I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore’

1. Did we already forget what he did to the families of the sailors murdered on the USS Cole.

3. This is the person who will not make a decision to help the troops in Afghanistan either with more support or withdrawl.

Texas to Give Prisoners H1N1 Vaccine Before General Public

 AUSTIN, Texas  —  Texas prison officials say thousands of high-risk convicts may be vaccinated against the swine flu ahead of the general public as soon as next week.

Texas Department of Criminal Justice spokeswoman Michelle Lyons and state health officials say more than 45,000 convicts are being considered for the vaccine. They’ve been targeted by a U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention distribution policy to receive the vaccine.

Texas is the second state to announce it would vaccinate prisoners before vaccinating the general public. Earlier this month, Massachusetts announced it would do the same.

I can understand giving it to the law-abiding guards……but the inmates ……WTF….. they knew the consequences when they did the deed.

Come on New York you’ll find a way to outdo  these two states show us what you’ve got.

How should I vote this year?

2009 elections for the most part in my area will be local elections..Now normally this is something that I don’t think mainstream politics enters in to..Our town supervisor doesn’t worry about Afgahanistan or Obamacare..its above her ‘pay grade’ and she realizes that..her job is the functioning and well-being of our town and so far she’s done an acceptable job and deserves to be re-elected.

Here comes the rub–shes a Democrat–now normally I’d put that aside and vote for the person not the party..The current administration just cost her my vote.. this ‘in charge’ party has separated itself so far from those who elected them that maybe..just maybe one way to get their attention is to cause them to lose these local elections and if the ’snowball’ is big enough to get their attention maybe they’ll be forced to ‘change’ the way Americans want change to be.

I really feel bad about this but as Howard would want me to say
