Obama promises to ‘finish the job’ in Afghanistan

From AP

WASHINGTON – Signaling he’s decided on new troop levels for the Afghanistan war, President Barack Obama said Tuesday he intends to “finish the job” on his watch and destroy terrorist networks in the region.

Only way you’re going to do that  mr Nobel Peace Prize is to nuke the place til it glows in the dark for the next 2 million years….nice try..

WTF does this mean Obama?

Headline from Yahoo News

WASHINGTON (AP) Obama: American public will be ‘extremely supportive’ of his decision on Afghanistan .

WTF quit selling and start doing…’useless’ is trying to put a positive spin on something that does not exist.

Most of the American public can never be supportive of his decision because most expected it months ago.

And how many more will die before your ‘grand announcement’…ask their families how supportive they are.

Impeach incompetence is what I would  be ‘extremely supportive’

Marietta, Ga., Lawmakers to Review ‘So Help Me God’ Police Oath

City council members in Marietta, Ga., will consider changing the oath of office that the city’s police officers take so that recruits can swear to uphold the law without saying the phrase “so help me God.”

And what does my new hero have to say about that…

Any effort to remove the phrase will likely be fruitless, as Mayor Bill Dunaway said he’ll veto any changes proposed by the five-member council. Only a unanimous vote could override Dunaway’s veto, he said.

“In the eight years I’ve been mayor, there’s never been a problem,” he said of the oath. “I don’t think there will be any changes at all. If someone does not want to make that statement, I’m not so sure I want them on our police force.”

Dunaway said he thought it was “unfortunate” that local lawmakers were spending their time on the issue.

“It’s not a threat,” Dunaway said of his looming veto. “It’s just a promise.”

And that’s how you handle that type of PC bs…short, sweet to the point…you don’t like it…your choice…leave…

Bill anytime you want a job in Washington DC..just run for office..I’m sure you’ll do just fine..America needs more like you..

Official: Obama to Announce Afghan War Strategy Decision on Dec. 1

Now doesn’t it just give you a good feeling have ‘useless’ as President..

The Japanese would have been to St. Louis before he had made a decision on what to do…

He probably would have apologized for the World Trade Towers being in the way on Sept 11…

And after so many months and so many U.S. deaths he MAY have a decision on Afghanistan…

But look how quick he put your grandchildren in debt with vote getting social programs…

Impeachment for incompetence is in order…

Dems fight over funds left from bailout

Politico

Congressional Democrats could be careening toward a head-on collision with the White House over $200 billion in leftover bailout money — money that Republicans think should simply be returned to taxpayers.

The Treasury Department is pushing for fiscal prudence and wants to use the money to pay down the deficit and keep a small rainy-day fund in case of economic catastrophe.

But Democrats are salivating over the possibility of $200 billion in unspent money.

House Democratic Caucus Chairman John Larson of Connecticut wants dough to fund job-creation legislation. Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank, the powerful chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, wants to direct $2 billion of repaid Troubled Asset Relief Program funds to loans for unemployed homeowners so they can avoid foreclosure. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California admits that “there’s a good bit of interest” in spreading the money around to various economic projects.

And Senate Democrats want to put a big chunk — say, $40 billion — toward loans to small businesses.

Republicans, who regret ever voting for the $700 billion bailout in the first place, are moving in for the kill, convinced that a deficit-weary nation would thank them for pulling the plug on the great bank bailout of 2008.

Seems to me spending for the sake of spending is about the most childlike, irresponsible, political thing that Congress could do at this point.

It’s time for the Congress to grow-up–if they cannot demonstrate that any further spending they do has provable results–then return it to the taxpayers and be done….

Jesse Jackson: You Can’t Vote Against Health Care and Call Yourself Black

The Rev. Jesse Jackson said Wednesday night that any black lawmaker who votes against President Obama’s sweeping health care overhaul isn’t really black, the Hill newspaper reported. The Rev. Jesse Jackson on Wednesday night injected race into the national debate on health care, saying any black lawmaker who votes against President Obama’s sweeping overhaul isn’t really black, the Hill newspaper reported.

“We even have blacks voting against the health care bill,” Jackson reportedly said at a Congressional Black Caucus reception Wednesday night honoring the 25th anniversary of the civil rights leader’s run for president.”You can’t vote against health care and call yourself a black man,” the Hill reported him saying. The remark was a clear shot at Rep. Artur Davis, D-Ala., the only member of the CBC to vote against the House version of the health care legislation.Davis refused to return fire against Jackson.”One of the reasons that I like and admire Rev. Jesse Jackson is that 21 years ago he inspired the idea that a black politician would not be judged simply as a black leader,” Davis said in a written statement to the newspaper. “The best way to honor Rev. Jackson’s legacy is to decline to engage in an argument with him that begins and ends with race.”Jackson later reportedly said that he “didn’t call anybody by name and I won’t.”

I really find Rev Jackson’s words disturbing, now unless my history in incorrect Rev Jackson spent many a day with Dr King in the early days of the Civil Rights movement of the 60’s, to the point that he was with Dr King on that terrible day so many years ago, I’m sure he heard either first or maybe second hand Dr King say :

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

And then he makes a statement like this.Rev Jackson needs to understand that the history he comes from is not that old..there are a lot of us who remember those days and know how far we’ve come as a nation to have him backslide to a statement like that.

Rep Artur Davis seems to understand.

If the good Rev Jackson feels he needs to endorse healthcare for all Americans—that is his right as an American….If he feels he needs to shame a black man into voting for healthcare, well then we might as well bring back    Gov George Wallace’s 1963 Inaugural address.

Rev Jackson please rethink your words.

Ya gotta love the U.N.

UN: Fight climate change with free condoms

LONDON – The battle against global warming could be helped if the world slowed population growth by making free condoms and family planning advice more widely available, the U.N. Population Fund said Wednesday.

Are they planning on filtering the ones that come out with dim-witted  thoughts like this?

Sounds more like a way to eliminate ’undesireable’ peoples—Could the U.N. be thinking those things…afterall look at all the fine speakers we’ve had in New York this year…

I’ve often wondered if there was a real example for–’Stupid is as Stupid does’

Well I found it:
